FastCAT

FastCAT ~ Tuesday – 8 am – 3 pm

You and your PBGV have never competed in FAST CAT? No problem.

It’s a new event for most of us. But most PBGVs are naturals and love to chase things that run along the ground. Top Dog Training Facility where we will have our agility competition, also offers a permanent ‘fenced’ run area where they host FAST CAT competitions. While our agility competition on Tuesday will only be open to PBGVs per our stated entry rules, the FAST CAT event will be open to all. The event is being hosted by the PBGVCA but will be open to any AKC registered dogs of any breed with an AKC/FSS number or mixed/unknown breed with a PAL or AKC Canine Partner registration number. Per AKC rules, dogs must be 12 months or older to participate in FAST CAT.

This is a great opportunity for those of you traveling with dogs that aren’t PBGVs to get all your furry friends in on the week’s events. The training club has its own award ribbons for qualifying runs as well as people finishing their BCAT, DCAT and FCAT titles. However, the club will also offer special awards for PBGVs reaching one of these milestone titling levels during one of the two runs available on Tuesday. You will be able to enter in advance, or complete a same-day entry upon arrival. Most PBGVs will earn an average of around 20-25 points per run. It takes 150 points to earn the first titling level BCAT. If you want to complete a title at our specialty, you will need to run at a trial or two before our March event. Good luck!

Fast CAT is open to all dogs 12 months of age or older that are individually registered/listed with the AKC registration as purebreds, Foundation Stock Service (FSS) dogs, Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) dogs and AKC Canine Partner. Committee has the right to refuse to allow any dog deemed to not be physically fit from running. Please see Premium List when available for details.
