In Attendance:  Sandy Bustin, Tiffany Cannon, Bob Cohen, Susannah Cooper, Anne Gallant, Lindley Henson, Stephanie 

Holoubek, Lora Megli, Jo Quintenz, Gloria Swaine, Mike Williquette, Vickie Willmann. 
Tiffany called the meeting to order at 7:35PM Central. 
President: NTR
Vice President’s Report: Bob Cohen reported he had the Service Award plaques engraving
Recording Secretary’s Report: 
Motion #02-17-01 (Cohen, second Bustin) Move to approve the Board Minutes from January. Motion accepted unani-

mously.

Corresponding Secretary’s Report: NTR
Treasurer’s Report: Gloria Swaine reported Club assets with a total of $83,520.48.  Overall, the net income as of January 

2017 is $3,818.44. This includes a net loss of $1,295.76 in General operations offset by a net income of $1,604.62 in Hunt 

activities and $8,241.92 in Show Event activities.
The first Texas Hunt, held in January, brought in $588.10. Funds are beginning to come in for the National Specialty. Feb-

ruary and March financials will be showing a positive net income as the majority of the expenses for the National will be 

paid in April. 
Delegate’s Report:  Anne Gallant reported that a

n amendment is scheduled for voting in March 2017 regarding a club’s 

appeal process to the AKC Board of Directors if their request for a show in another club’s territory is denied or is not re-

sponded to within 30 days.  Anne also reported her thoughts on who she would like to see elected to the AKC Board. The 

Candidate questionnaires on available on the AKC website. The voting will take place on March 12.

Saber Tails: Tiffany reported she would be sending the extra copies by mail. 
Pam Helmer joined the call.
Royal Canin- Pam reported that Royal Canin was adding a puppy competition, with cash prizes, to be held on Friday 

afternoon/evening. They also would prefer to do any Specialty show with the Breed judging. Clubs will be allowed to add 

veterans, and sweeps. Each club will receive $5 back from the entry fee. The Specialty would probably have to start at 

7:30 and the 2

 would start soon after the close of the first show, and done by 11:00 am. The advantage would be not 

having to pay the Superintendent.
Motion #02-17-02 (Gallant, second Swain) Move to hold the PBGV Specialty within the Royal Canin show (Saturday) and 

if monetarily feasible, adding sweepstakes at a later date. Voting in favor were Bustin, Cannon, Cohen, Cooper, Holoubek, 

Megli, Quintenz, Swaine, and Willmann. Henson opposed and Williquette abstaining. Motion accepted.
2017 National Specialty Report
: Pam Helmer reported that everything is just about ready. Tiffany will handle the club 

trophies after Charlotte. Mike asked about the status of Rally signs.
Motion #02-17-03 (Quintenz, second Cohen) Move to spend up to $300 and buy a AKC Rally Ring set. Gloria will order 

and have it delivered to Mike.  Motion accepted.  
2018 National Specialty Report:  Board asked that the “tongue” on the logo be removed on the final logo.
2019 National Specialty Report: Pam Helmer reported the they were looking at proposals from 2 hotels in Texas. 
Rescue: Pam Helmer reported that 5 rescues had all been placed.

Notice of CHIC decision to membership—Susannah has checked and the information has been corrected on the OFA site.
Next ST publication date—Should be March
Associate Membership application/process—Jo reported that work was being done to get the correct information on the 

PBGVCA website. Gloria and Jo will work on a PDF Associate Membership form to add to the website.
