Many of us in the Club have just returned from Charlotte, North Carolina where we
enjoyed the annual National Specialty and Eastern Regional Specialty. It was a very
exciting show and a wonderful event National Show Chairman Bev Childs put to-
gether for us along with her hard working committees. Having chaired a National
before, I can certainly appreciate how much work goes into this annual event and
understand how exciting it is to finally see it happening. Our next edition of Saber
Tails will feature reports on all the various activities. We hope you had a chance to
join us, but if not, we will give you a good look into what you missed in the next
edition.
This edition of Saber Tails is full of many articles on a variety of topics. I am so happy that we are getting more and
more contributions from a variety of club members. We all have so many wonderful experiences with our PBGVs and
it’s a fantastic thing to share all those special memories with other people who appreciate them. Special thanks to
everyone who has contributed. And keep those articles and photos coming. If you have a story you’d love to tell, but
aren’t confident in your writing, grammar, punctuation or story-telling skills, no problem. There are four of us who
participate in the Editorial Committee and we are always happy to help you organize your thoughts and adventures
into a publishable article. We are always in need of stories for “Tails” From the Clown Hound Files. Contact me at alway-
spbgv@aol.com if you have some content for an upcoming edition. We definitely want to hear from you.
This edition also features a member opinion piece. We value your opinions and want to make everyone feel welcome
to contribute. We will insist that this magazine stays positive for all our club membes to enjoy. To help us stay true to
that basic idea, we have come up with some publication guidelines discussed by the Board at the mid-year meeting
in Reno that will help you understand how the editorial committee and Board of Directors will determine what should
be published to the membership and how.
Enjoy the articles, photos and information. And have a wonderful Spring.
P.S. - Safe travels to all who are headed out on spring breaks and remember that it’s getting warm. Don’t leave your
dogs in a car when the weather gets warm outside!
