PBGVCA Board of Directors Conference Call

Submitted By PBGVCA Recording Secretary Stephanie Holoubek

Monday, December 14, 2015  •  Approved by the Board of Directors

In Attendance: Sandy Bustin, Tiffany Cannon, Bob Co-

hen, Susannah Cooper, Anne Gallant, Lindley Henson,

Stephanie Holoubek, Lora Megli, Gloria Swaine, Jo

Quintenz, Vickie Willmann. Pam Helmer joined the call

at 8:03 pm.

Mike Williquette was absent.

Tiffany called the meeting to order at 7:34 CT.

President’s Report: Tiffany reported she had received

the checks from the Eukanuba Specialties, which she

will forward to Gloria. She received  $1913.16 from

MBF, $140 from the Raffle, and $100 from Catalogs.

A $700 reserve was being held by MBF for any extra

charges that might occur.  Corey Benedict emailed Tif-

fany that Sight & Scent was having a feature on PBGVs

in the February issue.

Tiffany and the Board received the resignation of the

Saber Tails Editor. Tiffany has consulted with 2 market-

ing agencies she works with asking their input of all

aspects of publishing a magazine, and suggestions

for software programs to use. She has had one person

offer to become the Editor of Saber Tails.  This would

possibly be a good time to reevaluate the magazine

and find ways to save money but still produce a good

quality magazine. Bob suggested we possibly split up

the different areas of responsibility.  Software sugges-

tions included InDesign. An email blast will be sent

out announcing the change at Saber Tails and asking

for people who might be interested in working with

the magazine.  For the time being all submissions to

Saber Tails will be sent to Tiffany.

Pam Helmer joined the meeting 8:03 CT.

Rescue-Pam Helmer: Pam reported that someone in

Ohio asked to put a dog in rescue. However since the

dog had major issues and had attacked someone Res-

cue declined the dog. Several dogs have been referred

to Rescue but many are in shelters that will not work

with Breed Rescue groups.

2016 National Specialty Report-Vickie Willmann:  All

applications have been filed and all have been

approved. She is working on a Judges conflict and

that is in the process of being resolved.

prove 2016 Budget as presented by the Show Chair.

2017 National Specialty Report-Pam Helmer:  There

is nothing new to report.

2018 National Specialty Report:  Pam has found

someone to be Chair and Assistant Chair. Our con-

on major revisions to the rescue/foster agreement.
