PBGVCA Board of Directors Conference Call

In Attendance: Sandy Bustin, Tiffany Cannon, Bob Cohen, 

Susannah Cooper, Anne Gallant, Stephanie Holoubek, Lora 

Megli, Gloria Swaine, Jo Quintenz, Vickie Willmann, Mike 

Williquette. Pam Helmer will join the call at 8 pm.

Lindley will call in late.

Tiffany called the meeting to order at 7:35 CT.

President’s Report: 

Tiffany reported that after being encouraged by the Health 

and Rescue Foundation, she had contacted the Rescue 

Foster.  After conversation with the Foster the events of the 

incident were clarified.  In a meeting the previous week 

the PBGV Health and Rescue Foundation agreed to pay ½ 

of the remaining medical.  Bob prepared a release form for 

the Foster to sign to release the PBGVCA from any further 

liability and she agreed to sign the release.

MOTION: 11-15-01 (Cooper second Holoubek) Move to 

rescind MOTION #10-15-07 (Move, contingent upon the 

receipt of a signed release of further liability, that the 

PBGVCA pay 1/3 of the Foster’s remaining Medical bill, 

paid directly to her Doctor in the sum of $1578.54.) Motion 

passed with Cohen and Bustin abstaining.

MOTION: 11-15-02 (Cohen, second Holoubek) Move that 

the PBGVCA pay the balance due as billed to the Foster of 

$4735.60. Motion passed.  

The Club will pay the Foster. The Health and Rescue Foun-

dation will reimburse the Club for ½ the cost.

Pam Helmer joined the meeting 8:03 CT.

2016 National Specialty Report:  Vickie Willmann:  Partici-

pants in the Triathlon will get an embroidered patch for 

participating. Helen Ingher is working on getting someone 

to do the Eye Clinic. Show date conflicts have been re-

solved. Show information has been sent to Saber Tails for 

inclusion in the next issue.

The Indiana Hunt group raised $1045 with their raffle for 

the 2016 Specialty.  Vickie raised $200 with Calendar sales. 

She is planning to take the Calendars to the South Carolina 

Hunt.

Pam reported that the 2016 Specialty Top 20 will have 

a “Flambé dessert” instead of a formal dinner and the 

event time will be moved a ½ hour later at 7:30. There 

are 3 very nice, donated Raffle Items that will be of-

fered: a 30” crate with at least 100 dog toys inside, a 

Pandora bracelet and a 36” grooming table with arm 

and loop. Tickets will be offered online.  The cost of the 

ribbons has been donated.

2017 National Specialty Report-Pam Helmer:  There is 

nothing new to report.

2018 National Specialty Report: Sandy reported that 

our Consultant is still looking for locations for the 

event.  

Rescue-Pam Helmer:

Pam still has 2 rescues. She and Bob are working to 

finalize the new Rescue Foster Agreement.

Anne asked to give her report now, as she was travel-

ing and needed to leave the call.

Delegate’s Report-Anne Gallant: Anne reported that 

the AKC will vote in December on the proposed 

Amendments:

Amendment 1 - Term limits.  

MOTION: 11-15-03 (Cannon, second Cooper) Move to 

keep AKC Term Limits in tact. Motion passed.

Amendments 2, 3, 4 - Housekeeping items related to 

Judge’s Panels, Premium Lists, and Catalogs.

MOTION: 11-15-04 (Holoubek, second Cooper) Move 

to accept Amendments 2, 3, & 4, as presented. Motion 

passed.

Amendment 5- Enhance Grand Championship.

MOTION: 11-15-05 (Holoubek, second Bustin) Move to 

accept Amendment 5 as presented. Motion passed.
