WHAT OFFA HAS TO OFFER!

Have you looked at the OFFA website lately? If not please take a look.
There are so many areas to this site. Not only can you look for the health test results for PBGVs, but you can find a
listing of those that have qualified for a CHIC certificate. The number of DNA tests available for the various breeds is
also very impressive. Plus, there is a calendar that lists various health clinics that are being offered around the country.
There is too much to print here so take the time to look at the wealth of information that is given on this site.

Important Notice • DNA/Blood Bank Submissions
The PBGVCA is now asking that all samples of DNA blood of our breed go to CHIC.When blood is donated
to CHIC, the dog receives a number and the dog and owner will be recognized in Saber Tailsfor their donation to
the health and research of our breed. To learn more about donating your PBGV's blood to CHIC, please go to
www.pbgv.org and click on “Health,” then “Health Comittee.” Under DNA/CHIC, you will see a link to click on
that will give you the information you need to donate your PBGV’s DNA. We would also like to say a BIG
THANK YOUto those of you who have donated your PBGV’s blood over the years to the University of Missouri
and want to assure you that your dog’s blood is still available to the PBGVCA and research labs for the health
and research of our breed. There is no need to resubmit blood if it’s already in the U of MO’s blood bank. Thank
