Corresponding Secretary’s Report: Andy Elledge reported she had received one signed Judge’s contract for 2019.
Treasurer’s Report: Gloria Swaine reported Club assets as of June 30 total $70,518.23. Overall, there was a net loss
through the month of May of $15,263.50. Through May there was a net loss in General activities of $19,527.74 offset by
net incomes of $2,429.94 in Hunt events and $1,786.34 in Show events. The Club will end 2017‐18 with a deficit. Fortu-
nately, we have a reserve that will absorb this deficit.
Delegate’s Report: NTR (Anne Gallant absent.)
2019 National Specialty Report: Lora Megli reported she was working on the budget and waiting for the return of the
signed Judge’s contracts.
Saber Tails: Lora Megli reported Tiffany had received pictures from National and Vickie’s article on scent work. The Board
discussed ways to encourage those who offer to write articles to follow through and get them to Tiffany.
Rescue: Pam Helmer reported that there were no new rescues. Laura Liscum advised that she could advertise for Fosters
on the Foundation page if needed.
Pam Helmer reported that the Royal Canin Shows in Florida will have 2 Specialties. One on Friday and one specialty
embedded in Regular Breed on Saturday.
2020 National Specialty Report: Pam reported if we hold the National and Regional Specialties at the Robert’s Center in
Ohio, we have a Show Chair and Co‐chair. Vickie is working with the Center on costs, logistics, etc. Tentative dates would
be April 13‐18, 2020.

New Business:
Laura Liscum reported on the Health Committee recommendation on offering financial help with eye exams at Nation-
als, and to those who cannot attend National as a way to encourage eye exams. The Board would like the Committee to
recommend that the age for those exams be lowered.
Vickie Willmann reported that the Feasibility Committee for Nationals would be meeting on Monday, June 18, 2018.
Jo Quintenz asked if Nancy Phillips’ residence location change would affect her position as Director on the Board. It was
also noted that this would be Jo’s and Sandy Bustin’s last meeting as Directors. The Board thanked them for their work
and dedication to the PBGVCA. A nominating committee will need to be formed in July.
