In Attendance: Sandy Bustin, Susannah Cooper, Andy Elledge, Anne Gallant, Lora Megli, Jo Quintenz, Gloria Swaine, and 

Vickie Willmann

Absent: Bob Cohen, Stephanie Holoubek, Nancy Phillips, and Veronica Scheer

President’s Report: Susannah Cooper – NTR

Vice President’s Report: Bob Cohen – Not in attendance

Recording Secretary’s Report: Stephanie Holoubek – Not in attendance

Approve the Board Minutes from March - Motion: #4-18-03 (Quintenz, second Bustin).  Move to approve the March 

2018 minutes. Motion passed unanimously.

Corresponding Secretary: Andy Elledge – NTR

Delegate’s Report: Anne Gallant – NTR

2018 National Specialty Report: - The board had a long discussion about rotation and trying to have the national in 

easier locations. It is preferred to try and find locations that will work that will allow us to have hunts and all companion 

events during our Regional/National week.

2019 National Specialty Report: - Lora Megli – Show Chair

• Cannot find a barn hunt club that would be sanctioned with the barn hunt association although Teri King offered to 

help with a fun barn hunt if schedule permits

• Tiffany Cannon will be the Trophy Chair

• The Top 20 Lora wants to be special

• Is planning to have two AKC Scent Work Trials if all works out. Megan Esherick has agreed to be the Scent Work Trial 

Chair

• The obedience and rally judge will judge the 4-6 month puppy class

• Lora sent out a survey to the membership asking what they would like and the responses were the eye clinic, car-

diac, health seminars, and grooming seminar

• Pam Howell will be the Hospitality Chair

• Welcome Party will have a fiesta theme with a piñata to break

• Coady Egan will do the logo items

• Lora will start working on a budget

• May not have room for ring side tables

• Wants to generate interest by posting to Facebook and links

• A place has been found to hold agility and Lora is working on getting the cost to rent the facility down

2020 National Specialty Report: - No chair yet. Megan Esherick suggested a facility in Harrisburg, PA. The Roberts Center 

in Wilmington, OH was discussed. Purina Farms in MO was also discussed, although expensive. Since the club does not 

need to rotate shows and no time period 2020 could be considered the Eastern and Central Region Specialty. Anne Gal-

lant stated that we need a self-contained site/state of the art facility which could be the Roberts Center. She suggested
