Message from Emily Jeanes, from Animal Health Trust concerning POAG (Primary Open Angle
Glaucoma) in the PBGV
“I thought you would like to know that the research done at the AHT so far indicates that there is
a difference in height between PBGVs affected by glaucoma and unaffected dogs. Thank you for
all you have done to support us in this work!
However, before we do our final statistics, we are doing one last call for more data, in the hope our
results reach statistical significance. I would be very grateful if you could forward this to anyone
you know whose PBGV hasn’t been measured. We have collected enough data to prove that height measurements can
be accurately done by everyone, which makes collecting further data much quicker and easier! I have attached some
instructions on how to measure the PBGV’s height, plus a paragraph about our research for you to send on.
Emily”
