FOUNDATIONREIMBURSEMENTforPOAGTESTINGwillENDonDEC.31,2015

SincethegenetictestforPrimaryOpenAngleGlaucoma(POAG)wasmadeavailableinApril2015,morethan250

PBGVsintheUnitedStateshavebeentested.Withtestresultsinhand,treatmentcanbestartedonthosedogsfound
tobeaffected;planscouldbemadeforthebreedingofthosedogsthatarecarriers.TheHealth&RescueFoundation
institutedareimbursementprograminApriltoassistbreedersandownerswiththefinancialchallengeofPOAG
testingtheirdogs.Todate,morethanahundredPOAGtestshavebeensubmittedforreimbursement.

ThereimbursementprogramwillendonDec.31,2015.Toobtainreimbursement,POAGtestresultsmustbesentto

theOFAGeneticDatabase(www.offa.org/pdf/dnaapp_bw.pdf)andconfirmationofthatsubmittalmustbesenttothe
Health&RescueTreasurer(jah@arcanumltd.com)bymidnightonDec.31.

WethankallPBGVownerswhohavetestedtheirdogsandsubmittedtheresultstoOFA.Whatacontributionyou

havemadetothehealthofthebreed!Pleasecontinuetotest,andencourageotherstodothesame.
