hishuntingandbreeding.Wetookthedogsbackintothe
fieldandranthemonrabbitsforanotherhour.Itstarted
raining,puttinganendtoourplanstorunthedogsonwild
boarfortheafternoon.

WewenttoFrancineandJohan’shouse,mettheir

youngersonandtherestofthedogs:thelargestMastiffI
haveeverseen,aMastiffpup,thesmallestYorkieIhaveever
seenandthreemorePBs,twoofwhichwerepuppies.From
thereFrancinetookustoafabulousZagat-ratedrestaurant,
thenbacktoourhotel.

AtriptoDijonwouldbeincompletewithoutatourofthe

wineriesofBurgundy.Sundaywevisitedseveral,including
oneinCote-d’Or.Beautifulscenery,andwonderfulwineto
taste.Onthewaybacktoourhotel,westoppedatatraffic
lightandinthecarinfrontofwasanorange-and-whitePB.
NowitwastimetoreturntoParisandourtriphome.

Itwasaonce-in-a-lifetimetripforPattyandme.Weso

enjoyedDebraMills,herknowledge,preparation,language
ability,companionshipandfriendshiponthetrip.Ihad
certainlyseenPBsinFrance.Pattydoesnotownadogat
thistime,buthasdecidedthathernextonewillbeaPB.
Andalthoughwehavemanywonderfulmemoriesofour
trip,thedayspentwiththedogswasthebest!
