AKC Titles
PBGVCA will recognize any PBGV that has earned an AKC title and a PBGVCA Hunt title during the calendar year. (January 1 to December 31) PBGVs that are owned by members of PBGVCA can download the award application for an award that will be awarded at the National Specialty each year. Members must complete the application in order to be eligible for an award. These titles would include but are not limited to: conformation championships, obedience, rally, agility, hunt, tracking, scent work, CGC, therapy, lure coursing, and barn hunt. Only AKC titles are eligible for PBGVCA awards except for the PBGVCA Hunt titles. CGC and Barn Hunt must be a title not an award.

PBGVCA Hunt Titles are now being recognized by PBGVCA without an AKC title. Hunt Titles must be earned in 2022 to receive your award. The Awards Committee will check the title applied for against the 2022 Master Hunt Title Record. Passing the Hunting Instinct Test does not qualify for these awards. Must be a Junior Hunt title or higher.

PBGVs and their owners who received AKC titles during the year will receive an award. PBGV Stars are PBGVs who have earned an AKC title during the same calendar year. These owners will receive one award and all their AKC titles for the previous year on that award. PBGV All Stars are PBGVs who have earned two new AKC Titles during the year. These owners will receive one award with both AKC titles for that year on the award. PBGVs who have earned more than two titles will receive the Super Star award. We hope these new achievement levels will encourage more PBGVCA members to continue to reach for the higher levels in the performance, companion, and conformation rings. All awards will include the PBGVCA logo, dogs registered name, year and title.
