This area of the website provides information that relates to the health of PBGVs and various research projects. PBGVCA has a Health Committee and a separate, nonprofit corporation, the Health & Rescue Foundation.
The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) offers educational audio and videos addressing current research topics and summarizes the most recent information regarding a specific disease or research area. The Health Committee wants to have the most current information readily available for providing optimal health care and for making wise choices in managing breed-specific health care issues.
Goals & Objectives
- To develop and maintain educational information targeted to general health care of the PBGV.
- To develop and maintain a knowledge base of medical problems specific to the PBGV including clinical resources to assist with diagnoses, treatment and management of breed specific health issues.
- To have the resources available to assist PBGV breeders and owners in making decisions for the health and welfare of the breed
The Health and Rescue Foundation of the PBGV Club of America is a nonprofit corporation. The Foundation has been formed to provide funding that will support the goals of the PBGVCA Health & Genetics Committee and the PBGVCA Rescue Committee.
